The 2 MILE WALK will also start at 10:00 AM with staging along the west side of the square beginning at the State Street / Carroll Street intersection and will now feature a “wave” start of it’s own. Walkers will self-lineup in one of three sections depending on their desired walk pace: Speed Walkers, Casual Walkers, or Walkers with “Accessories”. The last category will include all participants with wagons, strollers, baby joggers and the like. This improvement will help everyone get the most out of the walk route, get them to the stadium earlier (for refreshments and festivities) and allow them to meet up sooner with other friends and family who may be participating in the run. Walkers will have their own music entertainment, cheerleaders, and sweat truck service for dropping off clothing prior to the 10:00 start.

Walk & Stroll
Stroller/Babyjogger Parking
Crazylegs service to walkers with strollers/babyjoggers |
As a service to Crazylegs participants, we will have a stroller/babyjogger check and park area located just outside the entrance to Camp Randall Stadium at Gate 1. No strollers or babyjoggers will be allowed in the stadium. All strollers/babyjoggers will be checked in and watched at all times by Crazylegs staff so you may take part in the post-race festivities without worrying about accidents and injuries. Strollers/babyjoggers can be picked up as you exit the stadium.

A "Walker's Paradise" Madison, Wisconsin |
Madison is a walker's paradise. It's full of both satisfying urban routes (like the one below) and green spaces to explore on foot. While you're in town for the Crazylegs-or to help get ready for the race-try one of the walks below, adapted from the 18 walks around Mad City in Madison Walks (Jones Books, 2003). Both start near the downtown area and should take you between 40 minutes to an hour (depending how often you stop). Or head for one of Madison's open spaces, like the Arboretum or the Campus Natural Area. |
