Crazylegs Classic to go Worldwide

Crazylegs is going global.

The Crazylegs Classic, the increasingly popular annual run/walk that takes place in Madison each spring and benefits UW Athletics, will expand next year adding an event called “Crazylegs World (video).”

The idea is this: in addition to the nearly 20,000 people who are currently taking part in the race in Madison, UW Athletics, the National W Club and the Wisconsin Alumni Association will join forces to help coordinate satellite events, on the same day, anywhere there is interest – from Boston to Bismarck, Melbourne to Madrid, Tampa to Tokyo, and anyplace in between.

CRAZYLEGGERS – “THANK YOU!”
On behalf of the Crazylegs Classic Executive Committee, the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department and the student-athletes, we would like to thank the Grand Marshal, U.S Airways First Officer Jeffrey Skiles, and the official walk start greeter, Suzy Favor-Hamilton, for their support and participation in the 2009 Crazylegs Classic. We would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the corporate sponsors, the hundreds of volunteers, and especially, to the thousands of runners and walkers for making this another record-breaking year and outstanding event! Mark your calendars for next year’s Crazylegs Classic scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 24, 2010.
